The South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) is convening a Solar Water Heating Workshop with presentations from experts coming from the broad spectrum of the South African Industry and from an expert from the International arena. The Solar Energy workshop promises to gear the individual with a wealth of skills, exposure to the latest research and developments from the solar energy domain as well as solutions to the challenges faced by our local Solar energy Industry

Theme of workshop

The viability of solar energy as an alternative renewable energy resource.

Objectives of workshop

• To create a platform where discussions on International research and developments can occur
• To strengthen harmonization efforts between our local committee, SABS TC 1057, Solar heating systems and ISO/TC 180 Solar energy.
• To address the challenges faced by our local industry and to develop a strategic and detailed plan of action to be taken by our local industry.
